Killing 3 Hummingbirds with One Stone

January 17, 2013

Since I recently moved to a place in the world that seems to have year-round wonderful weather, I have decided to take a stab at the old recommendation of walking! I know, It’s weird to say “I’m taking up walking”. It’s not to say that I don’t walk daily, of course I do. But ever since I started working at a desk job, I find myself sitting more then anything else in the span of a day. So, I declare that I will take time to walk everyday!

I also think it is important to multi-task whenever possible. This is why I downloaded an audiobook to enjoy during my strolls.  And why kill two birds with one stone when you can kill three? Not literally! What I mean is I also thought my walks would be a good time to take some photos of my new environment. After sitting next to a flower for 10 minutes waiting for those hummingbirds that have been hanging around outside my window, I realized that I wasn’t even doing what I set out to do, walk! I headed out to find another interesting subject.

No hummingbirds were hurt in the making of this blog (none were photographed either). Instead, I got a nice photo of this vine cover fire hydrant, enjoy!
